All the versions till now from WB5 cause problems on my computer.

First: after installing WB5 the ini-file in which the per application settings are saved is empty

Second:

- after some minutes i get corrupted titelbars. Changing the options in WB 5 that must solve this problem don't help

- applications are freezing as soon the problem with the corrupted titblebars is happening

I did reboot after installing.

How can i solve these problems?

My configuration:

- latest WB4 en WB5 version

- windows XP including all fixes and so on

- ATI Radeon 8500 card with latetst drivers

- allso running: ObjectBar, ObjectDock

Going back from WB5 to WB4 also causes the per application ini file to be empty after going back to WB4.

Hmmm, I am not to sure on that but I heard that you need to have an ATI 9200 or better to run WB5 successfully.

Have you tried to install WB5 without WB4? Do your per-application settings dissapear on each upgrade, or only when you install WB5 on top of WB4?

Yes, alpha-per-pixel is not supported with anything lower, and sometimes including, this model. Any Blinds you use that have per-pixel or alpha-blended graphics will not display properly, and may cause instability. Your options would be: use WB4.6 or upgrade your video card. My local Office Max has ATI 9200 for under $50, but I would suggest going with a card that is a little later. Even the 9500 is a discontinued model at ATI: http://ati.com/products/discontinued.html

You can find a 9500-9550 that will support the WB needs for between $40-70, if you look around.

Oh, and the ini file: I have not had this problem. You might email stardock support on this one.
